Challenge:

The Sales Team in a Product Company was looking for ways to provide the Sales team with a single place to go for the demo videos that had been created. Currently, the videos were stored in a number of places, including Sales people’s laptops, and assuring the latest demo videos were being used was hard to determine. In addition, the Sales Team was also looking for a tool from which the salesperson could send and track video views.

Solution:

A Sales Demo Repository was created that provided for the uploading and centralization of all demo videos with a brief explanation. The videos could be shown live during Sales calls. In addition, the videos could be sent as a link to the prospect/customer for their viewing. It could be sent either requiring the prospect/customer to provide their information (name, email address) or Sales could prefill and the prospect/customer could have direct access. Every time the video was viewed, it was tracked and noted, with the most recent timestamp shown.

Benefits:

  1. The Sales team could be assured that they had the most recent version of the video. The maintenance and update of the videos was greatly simplified for the support teams with significant time saved by both Sales and Support in assuring the right version was being used.
  2. Because Odyssey can be used on a laptop, tablet or phone, the Sales Team always had access to the video library to share in Sales Meetings with customers.
  3. The tracking of the usage of the video provided insight to the sales team if the video was actually watched that would help set the agenda and gauge the interest level of the prospect/customer.
  4. The Video Repository was also leveraged in other areas such as Social Media, website, and etc.
