Invoices and Purchase Orders

A customer wanted a way to utilize the power of the SAP Invoice and Purchase Order in a way that was more convenient and intuitive to the people using it. A SAP Goods Receipt-Invoice Receipt Dashboard (SAP GR-IR) was constructed in Odyssey to make it easier to interface with the underlying SAP application.

For the Warehouse staff, the dashboard was constructed to provide a simple, mobile-based interface to the Goods Receipt module. From their tablet or smartphone, the users could quickly find the appropriate paperwork with a custom search feature. Once they found it, they could record receipt of goods against the appropriate paperwork. This fed information to the SAP backend on the spot, instead of making warehouse staff leave the warehouse floor to sit in front of a computer.

For the support office, a dashboard was constructed that could be used on screen sizes from smartphone to desktop monitors that brought the same simplicity to the search functions, as well as give a dashboard view of the incoming orders, recently processed orders, and so forth. The support staff could easily find what they needed and stay on top of what was important.

At all times, the SAP systems maintained control over the data; the SAP GR-IR dashboard helped make sure the data was entered faster and used better.
