Invoice Generation

A customer wanted a way to streamline the process of generating invoices. A workflow was created that pulled data from multiple SAP applications, previewed the invoice, and sent the invoice to the appropriate customer.

The system pulled information from three different sources: the billing system, the contract information repository, and the statement of work repository. Using this information, the system populates an invoice template with all of the details specific to this invoice. The Accounts Receivable then previews the completed invoice. If the invoice is inaccurate, the Accounts Receivable cancels generating this invoice until inaccurate information is corrected in the source systems. If the Accounts Receivable approves this invoice, the system generates a PDF copy and emails that copy to the contact email of the customer.
